Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Throu you represent that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for the security of your account, the credentials you use to access it, and any activity that occurs through it. Notify us immediately at security@throu.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, on the web or in the iPhone app. Deleting it permanently deletes your chats, memory, routines, files, and connected apps, and cancels a web subscription. An App Store subscription isn't canceled automatically: cancel it with Apple (see Subscriptions below). See our Privacy Policy for how deletion works.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms us or others.

Throu connects to third-party services (e.g., Google, GitHub, Atlassian, Linear, Notion) through OAuth. Your use of those services remains subject to each provider's own terms and policies. Throu acts on your behalf within the scopes you grant during OAuth and only for actions you initiate, schedule, or otherwise authorize through the Service.

Throu can search the web and use a cloud browser to act on websites for you. It acts only on tasks you ask for. It asks for your approval before it submits, sends, books, or deletes anything, unless you have told it to always allow that on a site, and it always asks before a purchase or an account change. When you approve an action, you authorize Throu to carry it out on that site in your name, and you are responsible for it as if you had done it yourself.

Your use of each website remains subject to that site's own terms. Some sites block automated browsing, and Throu will stop rather than work around a block. Throu never types payment card details: you enter them yourself when the browser hands control to you, or the site uses a card you saved there, after your approval. You make any purchase, booking, or other transaction directly with the website, and Throu is not a party to it.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party right.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
• Use the browser to get around a website's access controls, security checks, or rate limits.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Service or its underlying providers.
• Use the Service to send spam, harassment, or harmful content.
• Resell, sublicense, or operate the Service as a hosted product for third parties without our written consent.

The Service uses large language models. Their outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it, especially when it triggers actions in connected services (creating tickets, sending messages, modifying calendars, etc.). Throu provides the Service on an “as-is” basis without warranty of correctness or fitness for a particular purpose.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Throu and the data your agents read from connected services on your behalf. You grant Throu a limited license to process that content solely to operate the Service for you. We do not use your private content to train third-party models.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Throu, Inc. and its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. They do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except as expressly stated.

Throu Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription. Its price is shown on our Pricing page and before you buy. It renews automatically at the end of each month until you cancel it.

You can cancel anytime before your next renewal: on the web in Settings > Billing (web subscriptions are billed by Stripe), or on your iPhone in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and Apple handles refunds for them. We don't give partial refunds for web subscriptions, except where required by law.

We may change features, pricing, or these Terms over time. Material changes will be announced in advance through email or in-app notice.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THROU, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Throu, Inc. from any claim arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Throu, Inc. is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The exclusive venue for disputes will be the courts located in that jurisdiction, except where local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
