Calls from Throu

Throu is an AI assistant. When one of its users asks, it can phone a business for them. If Throu called you, this page says what the call was and how to stop more.

What these calls are

Each call is an AI assistant calling a business for one of Throu's users, to do something they asked for: book a table, ask a question, change an appointment, wait on hold.

At the start of every call it says it's an AI assistant, who it's calling for, and that the call is recorded. It never pretends to be a person. The user may be listening, and may join the call from their own phone.

It calls business lines only, never mobile numbers, and only during business hours in your time zone: weekdays 8 AM to 8 PM and Saturdays 9 AM to 5 PM, never on Sundays or federal holidays.

If you call the number back, you reach Throu's assistant line, which takes a message for the person the call was for.

How to stop them

Say "please stop calling" on any call from Throu. Your number goes on a list that no Throu user can call.

Or enter the number here. It does the same, for every user.
